Lynette is an upcoming character in Genshin Impact, and here’s everything you need to know about this unreleased Fontaine unit.

Genshin Impact on July 3, 2023, provided the first official drip marketing for Fontaine. Alongside that, they revealed three brand new units that will be coming to the game in the next few months.

The first two are Lyney and Freminet, a Pyro and Cryo unit. The third one is Lynette, a character that was leaked quite a while back, but now has been officially confirmed.

Is there a Lynette release date?

Lynette and Lyney are rumored to release in the Fontaine update.

No, HoYoverse has yet to reveal a Lynette release date. However, Lynette is confirmed to be released in version update 4.0. This is because the drip marketing for the character was done right before Sumeru’s final patch with version 3.8.

Hence, it is quite easy to infer that Lynette will be releasing in the first-ever patch for Fontaine which is version update 4.0.

Do we know Lynette’s rarity in Genshin Impact?

There is currently no official information about Lynette’s rarity. However, renowned leaker, Mero, has revealed that Lynette is a 4-star character. This means Travelers will likely be able to unlock her alongside one of the game’s upcoming 5-star character banners.

It’s not known which 5-star character banner she will be featured on, but it’s expected that Lynette will appear alongside Lyney. After all, both characters were revealed at the same time through HoYoverse’s drip marketing on Twitter.

Of course, this is just mere speculation and we’ll hear more information in the coming months. 

Lynette gameplay leak

On July 6, renowned Genshin Impact leaker Dim posted a leaked video that showcased Lynette’s gameplay. In the one-minute clip, we get to see Lynette’s idle animations, Normal Attack combos, Elemental Skill, and Burst. Her Elemental Skill sees Lynette take on a shadowy form, which appears to increase her movement speed and enables her to unleash a frontal attack. Meanwhile, her Elemental Burst unleashes an oversized hat that continuously deals AoE Anemo damage. You can see all of the leaked Lynette gameplay from the video above.

Lynette abilities in Genshin Impact

Renowned Genshin Impact leaker, Mero, has shared Lynette’s abilities giving Travelers an early glimpse of how she’ll play. Below you’ll find details of Lynette’s Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst, but just like all leaks, these could change before her official release date.

Normal Attack: Rapid Ritesword

  • Normal Attack: Performs up to 4 rapid strikes.
  • Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
  • Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill: Enigmatic Feint

Lynette flicks her mantle and executes an Enigma Thrust, dealing Anemo DMG. When the Enigma Thrust hits an opponent, it will restore Lynette’s HP based on her Max HP, and in the 4s afterward, she will lose a certain amount of HP per second. Based on whether you press or hold this ability, she will use Enigma Thrust differently.

  • Press: Lynette swiftly uses an Enigma Thrust.
  • Hold: Lynette will enter a high-speed Pilfering Shadow state and apply Shadowsign to a nearby opponent. When this high-speed state ends, Lynette will unleash her Enigma Thrust. if there is an opponent with Shadowsign applied to them nearby, Lynette will approach them in a flash before using Enigma Thrust.

A maximum of 1 opponent can have Shadowsign at any one time. When this opponent gets too far from Lynette, the Shadowsign will be canceled.

Fundamental Force: Ousia

At specific intervals, Lynette will unleash a Surging Blade when she uses EnigmaThrust, dealing Ousia-aligned Anemo DMG.

Elemental Burst

Lynette raises her mantle high, dealing AoE Anemo DMG, using skillful sleight of hand to make a giant Bogglecat Box appear!

Bogglecat Box

  • Taunts nearby opponents, attracting their attacks.
  • Deals Anemo DMG to nearby opponents at intervals.
  • When the Bogglecat Box comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will gain the corresponding element and additionally fire Vivid Shots that will deal DMG from that element at intervals. Elemental Absorption of this kind will only occur once during this ability’sduration.

Lynette Constellations in Genshin Impact

  • Level 1 — A Cold Blade Like a Shadow: When Enigmatic Feint’s Enigma Thrust hits an opponent with Shadowsign, a vortex will be created at that opponent’s position that will pull nearby opponents in.
  • Level 2 — Endless Mysteries: Whenever the Bogglecat Box summoned by Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift fires a Vivid Shot, it will fire an extra Vivid Shot.
  • Level 3 — Cognition-Inverting Gaze: Increases the Level of Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Level 4 — Tacit Coordination: Increases Enigmatic Feint’s charges by 1.5.
  • Level 5 — Obscuring Ambiguity: Increases the Level of Enigmatic Feint by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Level 6 — Intent-Identifying Insight: When Lynette uses Enigmatic Feint’s Enigma Thrust, she will gain an Anemo Infusion and 20% Anemo DMG Bonus for 6s.
