Honkai Star Rail leaks have shed light on a number of upcoming characters, giving Trailblazers an early glimpse of characters like Luka. This 4-star unit aims to deliver plenty of Physical damage when he releases in the game’s future banner update

During Honkai Star’s Version 1.2 Special Program, the gacha title officially confirmed when Luka would arrive.

Who is Luka in Honkai Star Rail?

Luka is a 4-star Physical character that follows the Nihility path. This means he will likely be able to apply debuffs to enemies that reduce their overall combat effectiveness. Additionally, Luka can deal heavy damage to opponents while applying Bleed.

“An optimistic and carefree fighter with a mechanical arm. Skilled in mixed martial arts and is a Wildfire member,” Luka’s description reads.

“From the fight cage to the battlefield, and from a fighter to a warrior, Luka uses his strength to protect the people of the Underworld. He wishes to bring hope to others precisely because he had experienced despair himself.”

Is there a Luka release date in Honkai Star Rail?

During the Honkai Star Rail Version 1.2 “Even Immortality Ends” Special Program, the game confirmed Luka’s release date. Luka will debut as an available 4-star character on August 8, 2023 as part of Kafka’s banner. The other 4-stars on Kafka’s banner are Sampo and Seval.

Luka abilities in Honkai Star Rail

A Honkai Star Rail leaker has revealed Luka’s Skill and abilities, which give players a sneak peek at how he could play upon his release. Below, you’ll find how details about Luka’s Skill, Ultimate, and overall playstyle.

  • Basic Attack – Direct Punch: Deals Physical DMG equal to 50% of Luka’s ATK to a single enemy.
  • Skill – Lacerating Fist: Deals Physical DMG equal to 60% of Luka’s ATK to a target enemy. In addition, there is a 100% base chance of causing the target to Bleed for 3 turn(s). While Bleeding, at the start of each turn, the enemy will take 16% of their HP as Physical DoT, not more than 115% of Luka’s ATK.
  • Ultimate – Coup de Grâce: Receives 2 stack(s) of Fighting Will and has a 100% base chance to increase the target enemy’s DMG received by 9% for 3 turn(s). Soon after, deals Physical DMG equal to 198% of Luka’s ATK to the target.
  • Talent Flying Sparks: After Luka uses his Basic ATK or Skill, he receives 1 stack(s) of Fighting Will, up to 4 stacks. When he has 2 or more stacks of Fighting Will, his Basic ATK becomes Enhanced Basic ATK. When his Enhanced Basic ATK’s Sky-Shatter Fist hits a Bleeding enemy target, the target will be immediately dealt Bleed damage for 1 time equal to 68% of the original DMG. At the start of battle, Luka will possess 1 stack of Fighting Will.
  • Technique – Anticipator: Immediately attack the enemy. After entering combat, deals Physical DMG equal to 50% of Luka’s ATK to a random single enemy with a 100% base chance to inflict Bleed to the target. At the start of each turn, Bleeding targets take Physical DoT equal to their HP for turn(s). This damage will not exceed Luka’s ATK. Luka then gains 1 additional stack of Fighting Will.

Luka Eidolons in Honkai Star Rail

Luka’s rumored Eidolons also surfaced online on ClutchPoints.

  • Level 1 – Fighting Endlessly: When attacking a Bleeding enemy, Luka’s DMG dealt increases by 15% for 2 turn(s).
  • Level 2 – The Enemy is Weak, I am Strong: If Skill hits an enemy with Physical Weakness, gain 1 stack(s) of Fighting Will.
  • Level 3 – Born for the Ring: Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv.15. 
  • Level 4 – Speed Determines the Victor: For every stack of Fighting Will obtained, increases ATK by 5%, stacking up to 4 time(s).
  • Level 5 – The Spirit of Wildfire: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
  • Level 6 – A Champion’s Applause: When Enhanced Basic ATK’s Sky-Shatter Fist hits a Bleeding enemy target, then every Direct Punch used by this Enhanced Basic ATK will cause the target will be immediately dealt damage equal to the original Bleed damage 8% of the original DMG for 1 time.
