SHOULD DONALD TRUMP BAN SHARIA LAW IN THE UNITED STATES?

Numerous states have taken moves to ensure that Sharia Law won’t sneak in to their justice system and even contemplate to advance it nationwide.

In fact, France made a provocative move a few years ago when they banned people from dressing in the full burka, a head covering in Islam which totally covers the face except the eyes. Subsequently, they were strongly castigated by liberals and criticized by the Huffington Post for racial discrimination.

Yet it helped the French government. As reported by the British conduit, The Telegraph, data reveals that Burka ban is useful.

Even if it is well-liked by the public, such policy has placed President Nicolas Sarkozy on the defensive position since, as in Britain, some French political class would just criticize it as mere populism.

Basically, there seems to be no relevance for a nation with established laws to consider Sharia Law.

Whenever there are instances of ambiguity and blind spots in current US laws, judges sort to international law to bridge the gap or to make laws from the bench.

According to the British outlet The Telegraph, the French Burka ban has been very effective, and the data speaks for itself.

Despite some high-profile protests, France’s banning of the burka is enormously popular with the public. Unfortunately, as in Britain, almost anything politicians do that the voters approve of tends to be denounced as populisme – a particularly dread charge among the over-earnest French political class – and instead of enjoying the deserved benefits, President Nicolas Sarkozy has found himself on the defensive.

So why, you ask, is banning Sharia Law even an issue when we have our own laws?
