Since the entertainment industry is run by liberals, Donald Trump has had trouble convincing celebrities to appear at his inauguration, as they believe that doing so would put their careers at risk.
That’s why it came as a welcome surprise this week when former Olympic athlete Caitlyn Jenner, now a transgender reality television star, announced that she will be attending Trump’s inauguration.
Daily Mail reported that Jenner was an outspoken critic of Hillary Clinton and has expressed hopes of serving as a “trans ambassador” under a Republican president. She has also praised Trump in the past, saying that he will be “good for women.”
Jenner visited Washington D.C. back in September to raise awareness of LGBT issues at the invitation of the American Unity Fund, a group funded by GOP donors that thinks the party should be more inclusive.
“I have kind of positioned myself with the Republican party to try to help these people understand. [To help] the Republican party understand what the issues are for the LBGT community,” Jenner said in August.
